My daughter is currently attending public school...---
She is getting extra help for reading, ~ I was wondering if any of you homeschool moms-- knew where I could find pages that are phoneticly (sp?)written--?
(The pages look really intresting-- when you read the sentences the letters are big or little depending on how you would pronounce the words)
My daughter comes home with the pages, but when I asked her "teacher" she said the circulm(sp?) was WAY to expensive, and that there was no way I could get a hold of it... Grrrrr--- Homeschooling is sounding more and more lovely!
ah, to be in "control" of what she is reading and to see how she might learn better.---
I have a son that is 5 and I am thinking these materials might be helpful for him-- he is a very visual learner.
I thought about doing an on-line search-- but then I thought maybe Little Blots could help me, shorten the search?
I did some looking on-line, but I really don't know what the true name of this stuff is --
So, I seemed to come away with more questions rather than answers-- The next time she (*the teacher*) sends home one of those sheets I will take a copy of it...or a picture-- so that maybe that will help me on my search!
I don't if this would help, but I found a converter at this website. http://www.foreignword.com/dictionary/truespel/transpel.htm
When I typed a sentence in the box and clicked "convert", it showed another box with the words spelled phonetically. For a person who sounds out words, it would work for making practice sheets at home.
Hope this helps!
My computer was down for a while...so I am only just now... responding....
The computer I am using is somewhat slow! ---
I'll try the site and get bakc to you!
