Okay, so originally I was going to do E for Earth, but since I just did C for Creation I thought maybe I could enlist some help in deciding what the letter E Bible Lapbook will stand for!

I know we've got some creative minds out there......

E is for .......... eternal? everlasting? easter?.....what do you think?

I'll be using Esther for Q, Queen Esther.

I love the Elijah and Elisha idea....you know since everyone gets them confused all the time, it would be fun to to a compare/contrast double lapbook. Elijah on one side and Elisha on the other! What does everyone else think?

Valerie
I like the Elijah/Elisha idea too. I always catch myself saying, "Elijah...or is it...Elisha?...." Look at me, I'm excited thinking I'm going to be learning more! :)
I'm looking forward to the Esther one. You could bring in the moral of obedience in hard times or loving your family. Or being a princess for the Lord-beauty on the inside, not outside. (?) Just my .02, I'm sure you've got tons of great ideas :)
Can you tell I have 2 girls?? :o) LOL.

I do love Ejilah and Elisha too. Elijah is one of my absolute favorites. I bet you could make a really cool craft with the alter and fire from Heaven. And how Elijah heard the Lord in the wind-- kids could play telephone and practice listening.

I like this idea also!

Great ideas Jasmine! Your more then welcome to share you 2cents, or 10cents for that matter! The more help I have the quicker I can make them really. The hard part is coming up with the ideas!

What were you thinking for the alter fire craft? Like maybe something that flips upward, or like a pull tab or something? I'd love to hear more if you have time to spare, or if anyone else has an idea for what to include in it :)

On another note, I'm almost done with Stone Soup, maybe tonight or tommerow! fingers crossed.

:) I'm happy to share with you Although I am not as creative as I'd like--how do you get what you see in your head to come out just as nicely on paper?? oh, well, :) btw, what do you use to draw your art work on the lapbooks you make?

I was thinking of somehow making the fire come down onto the stone alter-like a pull tab, or have the fire come down from clouds (clouds on top, alter at bottom, fire comes from the top down onto the alter....does that make sense?) If that's as clear as mud, let me know and I'll *try* to make one and send it to you.

Blessings,
Jasmine
I like that idea
That makes great sense...the fire could be hidden behind the clouds untill the child pulls the tab, then it will descend upon the alter...right?

Most of the images I hand draw (like the ones in the Little House lapbooks) I use cardstock paper (from walmart 100 sheets is about $5.00.) and I use a Black ZIG pen (like from the scrapbooking isle)

I scan the images into my PC, and then I have to alterand edit the Contrast (to like +30 or something) so the lines don't look grey (even though I used a black pen) ( I have Adobe Photoshop to edit them, but I'm sure you can change the contrast on the image in other ways, maybe even your scanner software?)

Anyways, hope that helps a little. Any images that I don't draw come from www.clipart.com, I just recently subscribed there, it's about $12 a month, but well worth it if you ask me!

Yes, that's exatly what I was trying to say about the fire/alter craft. You so get me! Good luck with the lapbook. ;o)

Thanks for the tips on drawing and scanning. It sure helps ALOT :) I'm just a beginner, so still trying to figure it all out. Well, break's over, time to get back to school.

Blessings,
Jasmine
