Armor of God lapbook
I'm putting together an Armor of God lapbook for my 5yr. old son. He is very fascinated with knights so I read Eph.6 to him. He seems to really love this passage, so I thought it would be perfect. This would be our first lapbook to make, so I would welcome any ideas that anyone may have. I'm not sure what all should be in the lapbook. He knows the alphabet and sounds, but could use help with numbers and math. He also loves to write and draw.

What a cool idea!
If you don't mind having a worksheet or two in your lapbook, abcteach.com has a couple of dot-to-dot pages with a medieval helmet and knight that would help him practice counting. To get them, go to www.abcteach.com
then type "knight" in the search box. When you go down the list, it will say what type of activity the page is (crossword, dot-to-dot, etc.)
If I do one, I'm going to make a paper doll knight and all the pieces of armor in a pocket. Then as we read the verse from a paper in the lapbook, we can put the pieces of armor on the knight.
You could also draw a shield shape on paper and let him design a shield. Talk with him about things you all believe as a family and put those on the shield. If reading is importan to you, draw an open book. If church is important, draw a picture that represent church.
