Nice to get a comment here! We're in our fourth year of homeschooling and no we've not been doing it from the start. Actually our oldest daughther (12) just started this year at home. She has been to a small christian school. We started 4 years ago with our 2nd because of her special needs. And while we were exploring homeschooling we found it so great. It suited really with us as a family. It's legal here in Belgium although quite uncommon. About 1000 kids are homeschooled (500 in our French speaking part and 500 in the Flemish speaking part).
How are you homeschooling? I mean what kind of curriculum do you use?

We have 7 kids - ranging from 28 down to 6. We have only recently decided homeschooling for the last 3 years - and the younger 4 kiddos. And we are having a blast!!
